Fellow fishermen, In my ongoing quest to catch and release smallmouth, I am heading to the Gasconade this weekend. I have launched my jet boat from Boiling Spring campground several times, but I have never been to Riddle Bridge. Any advice on either: (a) navigating that part of the river and/or; (b) locating fish in that portion of the river. I saw a post recently that indicated it would be difficult to go downstream from the ramp. Thanks in advance. I am still a novice--having started fishing for smallmouth less than six months ago--and this forum is a useful sou

In answer to my query on this subject, all rubber legs, antennae, etc are illegal as the OP relayed. I am flabbergasted, surprised, astonished and taken aback that so many of us can't read. From Michael J. Mitchell., Fisheries Administrative Manager, Missouri Department of Conservation -
Were are you located? I see them on Craigslist pretty often here in the St Louis area. I don't know the difference in them though other sit in or sit on. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=kayak

++ on the stonerollers as best, shiners a close second. My comments were just to Dan's query of "creek chub/stone rollers/small suckers". Even if you don't know the species well, you can easily tell by holding one in your hand, if it feels like something you could easily swallow whole (texture, not size), it'll work, and slicks (stonerollers) fit that bill best. An added benefit is when it's walleye time, the slicks and shiners will also be heavily congregated in prespawn mode, and easy to get a couple dozen in a single toss of a small net. After losing many traps to thieves, I'll no longer u

Hufferds is on his way I beleive I like the way he breaks the water down and the way he thinks about his next trip I bet he is within 1/4 mile of one every trip ! sometimes I think if you had 4000 18 inchers growing to 10 pounds those odds would be better than saving the 10 -10 pounders i not sure if this relates to walleyes but seems highly meritable thought on my query However i let every bass I caught this year over 5 back in water I know these 3 are still there some where

Okay, just dropped my oldest at soccer practice so I have 45 minutes to type...hope it doesn't take that long. I hadn't even thought about this story in years. 7 years ago I began working for my current company Bistro Kids. We do healthy lunch programs at schools and teach culinary arts to the students. The founder owned a succesful catering company as well. She received an email inquiry from a "potential client" looking for a chef to cater a family moving to Kansas City for 6 months from Dubai for business. She was too busy and asked me if I'd be interested in doing it on th

I don't think I've ever met an alcoholic beverage that I didn't drink. No one wants to sit next to a teetotaler or hear his story. "The piano has been drinking My necktie is asleep..." Tom Waits Drinking Lynchburg lemonades lately to answer your query.

Some updates on AnglerSpy.com and a temperature graph for a 3 month range...just because... While we are still working on a new interface that will allow for historical viewing of all the data we've gathered since May, for now, I can manually play with all the data. Just thought some of you may think it is neat. I know I do. I'm not exactly sure what value this data has, but I've got loads of it, so we're spending a lot of time developing new ways for anyone who uses Angler Spy to query any date range for any monitoring site to your heart's content. Sorry, this is just an image, so

Thanks Terrierman, I don't want to rush into anything. I don't know if you could make it work from Springfield but St Louis craigslist always has a bunch of canoes listed. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/search/boo?query=canoe Good advice Snagged. I bought my last boat in St Louis. There is a nice Vagabond for sale now. The price is a bit too high for me though.

My tech guy is under the weather for a few days. There's a problem with search and IPS has given me the answer but I don't know how to implement the solution. I have to do this: While editing a group, you may not be able to save the group, and a message displayed indicating that you need to "Enter a value greater than 0." To resolve this issue, run the following query (be sure to adjust for your table prefix): update core_groups set g_dname_date=1 where g_dname_changes=0 AND g_dname_date=0And then run the Support Tool to clear caches. Once done, upload the attached file to /applications/core/

Okay since Mitch already posted a pic on here of a nice Smallie we caught, I guess I will give a report and explanation of my dung eating grin in the image. First off this report is from the Black River where my family has been going for several decades the same week to a Lodge that I'm sure some of you are familiar with.....Black River Lodge. The week we go down to BRL is something that is hard to explain, it's like a perfect sunset that makes you all warm and happy but, only last a little while.....the week we go down we look forward to it like nothing else and then it's gone.

Meaning they are inherently bias? I guess your suggesting a change of venue is in order? I'd like to here what & where said trial should be held in your opinion for that you seem uncomfortable that a Crawford County proceeding will yield no justice & you already stated that you think he is guilty of the most heinous of all crimes! You raised the original query, not I... Enlighten us please! And if there is a plausible reason for such relocation, I would be on board if again, it's a plausible reason! If I was a betting man however, I think you would only like to see said relocated trial

Joe- It will be tough to float and or wade this weekend anywhere in the Meramec watershed. I'm not saying it can't be done, but, it'll be tough, if not dangerous, depending on where you might go. If you are hellbent to fish, you might try the Jack's Fork, three hours from St Louis. It's easy enough to look on-line for outfitters in just about any area you desire to fish. They can generally give you info on stream conditions. On the other hand, sometimes weather and river conditions just won't allow fishing. Spring in Missouri. Side note: A fellow angler wanted information, but all we gave

I am happy that so many have responded to my query about Kayak Fishing. I have already received some valuable information from the posts. I hope this becomes a regular forum that we can check back on and get more information about this platform for fishing. I would like to see information and reviews possibly about different kayaks and rivers/lakes that are kayak fishing friendly. Maybe some experienced hands would be willing to share tips with those of us just beginning or considering kayak fishing. As I said I have already gleamed some valuable information just from the posts already.

A large number? What's he talkin' 'bout, Willis? As far as I know, LM and spots can't hybridize AT ALL. Spots can and do hybridize with SM. Maybe that's what he meant. I second the biologist's query...I'd like to see what LM/spot hybrids y'all are talkin' about. That'd be a first for me. Interesting info otherwise.

I'd like to get to safer ground (literally, figuratively, pun intended, and (for me anyway) ironically). I brought this up on the Crooked Creek heading(?), and I'd like to throw my query out here. Spring floods are nothing new to our smallie streams. Our fish adapt accordingly. But I'd like to know if we think it really does affect spawning behavior and success. I know the floods move gravel and trees and banks and such around, but does it affect their spawning behavior? I am under the impression that, generally, fish get that special feeling around 65 deg., more or less, everything else being

Any idea where we could get the plans to make a wheelchair fiahing base like the one in the article? I have posted a query on the linked website, but have yet to receive a response. -
Bang for the buck comparisons on rods always draw many opinions. In the last 15 years, I have purchased 12 or 15 rods and made 5. Other than for trolling (where you would be foolish to spend more money than an Ugly Stick), I have found the highest quality for the money in Falcon. BTW - I almost posted a heads up in your reel query. My Curado went belly up last Spring, and I bought an Okuma Serrano. I fished it hard all summer. I love it. The comparable reel to the Citica would be the Okuma Cayenne and it's on sale several places for $70 to 90.

Well, it took me 20 minutes to get there but, here it is...... http://newmdcgis.mdc...fishattractors/ It should come up with Stockton.... If it don't there is a link in the upper lefthand corner that says "Query by Lake Name" ... Using the drop down menu choose Stockton.... Then you will see a RED blob in the upper lefthand corner of the map... Move the blob to the center of the map area and then magnify 10-15 times and you will see the "push pins" show up with the GPS data.. DON'T GET IN A HURRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE MAP REDRAWS LIKE MOLASSES IN JANUARY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
